Harvest Report Leontio - 2023

Hot and dry, with harvest starting nearly two weeks early. Ripening was rapid and compressed, putting strain on logistics and labor. Reds were dense, structured, and deeply colored. Whites risked flabbiness unless harvested early or at elevation, showcasing one more time the aid of the high altitude vineyards of Leontio. Mavrodaphne showed excellent extraction. Night harvesting became standard for some white varieties.
